Answer your questions about butane gas
The main differences between the two energies lie in their liquefied temperatures; their transition from the gaseous state to the liquid state. While propane liquefies at 44º below zero, butane liquefies at 0º.
Thus, environmental conditions influence the storage of each product. Propane is ideal for cold areas or outdoor facilities, and butane, for indoor installations or warmer areas.
Propane and butane gas are heavier than air, so cylinders, both full and empty, should always be in an upright position.
The bottle change must always be done with the head valve closed, so that the amount of gas released into the atmosphere - harmless and inoffensive - is minimal.
The bottle change operation should never be performed near sources of heat or fire, such as lighters, cigarettes or stoves.
Cepsa's bottled gas containers are lighter than the traditional ones, and their prices may vary depending on the distribution area or service station where they are purchased. For more information on pricing, contact your nearest distributor or request information here.
For contracting bottled Gas, you need to contact your area distributor, which varies by zip code, who will then be able to sign you up and send bottles to your home.
The procurement is carried out through the signing of a policy that will be provided to the client by the distributor once the first supply (bottle) is delivered to the client.
The owners, or failing that, the current users of the receiving facilities are responsible for commissioning a periodic inspection of their installation, using for that purpose the services of a gas installation company authorized in accordance with Royal Decree 919/2006.
By returning an unused gas bottle, you are helping to close the loop. Doing so is very simple: you can fill out the following form or you can call your nearest distributor to pick it up.
